Tal como é habitual, a Tesla ($TSLA) costuma fazer o seu relatório de entregas e aproximação para as vendas, 2 ou 3 dias após o fim do trimestre, pelo que a empresa é esperada que o faça ainda esta semana.
Desta vez, em Wall Street, as expetativas são um pouco conservadoras, visto que a própria Tesla se absteve de fazer previsões e não estabeleceu objetivos concretos para as vendas deste ano, o que aborreceu os investidores.
Os analistas, consultados pela FactSet, esperam que a empresa tenha vendido cerca de 168.000 veículos no 1º trimestre e preveem que irá vender cerca de 809.000 durante todo o ano de 2021.
Os investidores não irão, provavelmente, prestar tanta atenção às entregas deste trimestre, pois o primeiro trimestre do ano é sempre fraco para indústria automóvel. Contudo, quando em janeiro a empresa relatou os resultados do 4º trimestre, a mesma expressou o desejo de aumentar a sua capacidade industrial “o mais rapidamente possível”, na expetativa que as vendas mantenham a um crescimento médio anual de 50%. Podemos estar a olhar para um crescimento de 70% comparativamente ao mesmo período do ano passado.
Segundo o especialista Garrett Nelson da CFRA “Os investidores tendem a ter expetativas mais baixas para as vendas de automóveis no 1º trimestre …”. Também tem havido relatórios recentes sobre a escassez de semicondutores e outras peças, como chips, o que prejudicou a produção. Ainda na terça-feira, Elon Musk tweetou que a falta de uma célula de bateria estava a afetar a produção do camião comercial da empresa.
